The photographs above shows the cultural event called" Pahela baishakh".This is the first day of bengla new year, which is celebrated by Bengali people of Bangladesh and Calcutta.This is one of the event which clearly reflects the artistic culture of the nation. As can be seen in the photograph, many paintings and colorful lightweight statues for rally are created by the fine art students of Dhaka university, bangladesh. Women wear "white and red sarees" whereas men wear "Punjabi", tyhe traditional dresses. In the evening,traditional dance,music,acting and other activities are performed at a certain place in the city called "Ramna Batmul".People gatheredthere to enjoy and buy paintings or making tatoos on faces.This event clearly illustrates the culture and tradition of the society.
