I am having a catharsis
I am having catharsis in this form of art. Although art includes human body shapes and its structure but i believe though its true but this work of art also represents the opposite sides. the hand of the lady is colored red which means because of the baby or pregnancy or somehow she has been injured. This is a kind of situation that we face everyday our daily life. Whenever I see pregnant women, Instead of something good or blessing the opposite side such as death or blood comes in my mind because of this art work.

Human behaviour
Human Behaviour" is Icelandic singer Björk's first solo single, taken from the album Debut. It contains a sample of "Go Down Dying" by Antonio Carlos Jobim. The lyrics reflect on human nature and emotion from an animal's point of view. The song is the first part of a trilogy that includes "Isobel" and "Bachelorette".[citation needed]
"Human Behaviour" was an underground smash, and reached #36 in the UK Singles Chart.

interview with an artist
Jock Sturges, photographer of beauty and form, is one of this generations most celebrated photographers. Despite being respected by his peers and loved by his subjects, Jock has endured more than his fair share of public criticism. He is a prolific photographer with more than a dozen published works including three limited edition portfolios and nine books, his most recent being a colossal color book titled Life Time published in 2008 by Steidl. You need only view the images that Jock creates to understand the admiration and respect that he holds for the friends that he photographs. Why do you make photos, what is your purpose?
I make photos first and foremost because I want to own them. If someone else had somehow magically made the same pictures I would still want to own them. My work is not about photography itself per se – rather an overwhelming affection for aspects of identity, beauty and line that I want to see repeated in objects I can admire in permanence.
Where does your subject in art come from and how do you work?
The origin of what I do is simple. The second youngest of five brothers (no sisters) I was sent away to boy’s boarding schools and summer camps starting at age 8 and then at 18 went from there to four years in the US Navy which was pretty much a men’s club at that point in history. Out of the military at 23, I found myself in a small liberal, coed college and thus in the presence of women in a meaningful way for the first time in my life. Glory be. My work of the opposite sex began then and has never stopped. 23 years of deprivation forged an unflagging fascination that endures to this day.
What is the contrast between the intent of your work and the perception of your work?
That is an impossible question to answer because perception varies in every individual, and, more broadly, in every culture. There can only ever be differing perceptions of just what any given body of work or individual art object is. The range of possibilities is near infinite. What one person or group finds unlovely, another might consider transcendent, another shocking, another dull. It is finally not my responsibility nor of any great interest to me to address the external perception of my work at all. But I do not seek to please nobody. Not at all. I want first of all to please the people in my pictures and then, close behind, myself. If my work pleases the people it depicts and meets my own standards then I am done asking questions of it.
It did initially have some effect because what happened to me in 1990 was not short of terrifying. If the feds had managed to convict me, I would have spent a minimum of ten years in prison which read to me like a death sentence.
How do you see? What is it about a scene or subject that speaks to you and causes you to make the photograph?
I will come at this answer from four slightly different directions.
- The color blue.
- Genius.
How do you decide between using color or black and white?
The color/black-and-white dichotomy is interesting because there was a point in time when I wouldn’t have considered doing color. This had to do with the form color pictures could take. Until a very few years ago even the best color prints represented what I considered unacceptably imperfect reproductions of what had been before the camera. But now, with today’s technology, I am able to make color prints that completely satisfy what I want visually in a color photograph. Modern digital printing with Epson printers and their magnificent ink sets have revolutionized the medium for me. Now I love working in color!
How important is it to remain true to yourself and your individual vision as an artist?
As far as I am concerned I don’t have any choice; it’s the only thing that I know how to do. It’s not important, it’s not even essential; it’s all I can do.
How does, or should, the word “passion” relate to an artist?
I was bemused in graduate school when I heard people standing around talking about what they should do in art. I was perplexed that they didn’t know. I never had the least doubts as to what I wanted to do, I always knew. I was lucky — always passionate.

Interview with a curator

The name of the curator is Joanna stephens, the manager of John Bell hood exhibition of Carnton. Some of the important questions of Bof and answers from her are given below:
BoF: How long did it take to get this exhibit installed from it’s inception?
Stephens: It took about a year, which is really not all that long for an exhibit. We wanted this exhibit to coincide with the opening of the Fleming Center. We were originally trying to find enough items on Gen John Schofield (U.S.) and General John Bell Hood (CSA). But there just weren’t many accessible artifacts belonging to Schofield so we ended up just with Hood artifacts.
BoF: How does this Hood exhibit compare to previous Hood exhibits around the country?
Stephens: This is the largest exhibit of John Bell Hood artifacts ever assembled for a museum exhibit.
BoF: What is your favorite item in the exhibit?
Stephens: I like the personal items best. I like daily-use things best. My favorite Hood artifact in this exhibit are the gauntlets. It is not too hard to imagine his withered left arm still wearing the glove!
I love personal artifacts . . . Those kind of things . . . but to really see a picture of what a person was like in daily life is really important.
BoF: What does this exhibit tell us about Hood that many people might be surprised of?
Stephens: My goal was to inform people that there was a lot more to this man than the decision he made at Franklin. So much before and so much more after. He’s a whole man. You have to take everything into consideration.
My right brain,my left brain

I think my left brain works more than my right brain. I am science major,so I practice calculations and logical thinking instead of creativity. Therefore, It is more convenient for me to use the left brain. However, if I see any work of art, I am interested to kn ow the theme or extract the experience of that artist.
Artists in society

Art is associated in our everyday life. Therefore, artists in society plays a significant role.Sometimes we cannot identify the artist. I would like to consider anything that we see when we wake up until sleep is in form of art. For instance, a can of food contains design or advertisement in the form of color to attract our attention.Any magazine we pick up from the desk, the front cover contains art and even the dress we are wearing are also designed by an artist. It is the fqact that the artist are not all painters rather fashion designers, photographers, cartoon artists, architects and many more. So art is embedded in our society as soul in our body.

Film is one of the style of art that is most famous form of art in today's world.Film is the 3D visualization form of art that expresses human experience. The actors and actresses are the visual parts of the film who represent the work of director, writer and editor. They act as a team to present the human experience through individual talents.Film is the form of art where we can see the artist in a way that connects to us. Art work from Bangladesh
I love this piece of architecture
This the parliament of Bangladesh called " Shangshad Bhaban".Renowned architect Louis Ikhan was the designer of this famous building. The construction of the building was started in 1964, but due to the liberation war the work was disturbed and in 1982 it was completed. There are 9 blocks of the building, it is 163 feet high. The Total area is cover by open court yard, garden & nice lake. Visitors can enter this building on parliament session only by special permission. But parliament premise is open for all if the session of the Parliament is off.I love this piece because the honorable senators of the country represents their region and major decisions are made by them.

On te Graffiti beat- is it art or not?

I beleive Graffiti is a form of art because it is creative and expresses the artist experience. Like paintings, Graffiti have all the properties such as organic shapes and geometric shapes. The color combination is vivid. graffiti is a visual form of art athat attracts the viewer for at least once to glance at it.graffiiiti is not considered as an art form because it explicitly display the contemporary ideas to the society. Some upper class people think that it is disrespectful while many people appreciate the bravery. The work of art expresses that thought of the peoplewhich may not be explained by sppeches.
Poetry Slam
This poem is written by the Nobel prize winner in Literature "Robindra nath tagore" from bangladesh. I think it is one of the most meaninful poem about nature. On the Nature of Love
The night is black and the forest has no end;
a million people thread it in a million ways.
We have trysts to keep in the darkness, but where
or with whom - of that we are unaware.
But we have this faith - that a lifetime's bliss
will appear any minute, with a smile upon its lips.
Scents, touches, sounds, snatches of songs
brush us, pass us, give us delightful shocks.
Then peradventure there's a flash of lightning:
whomever I see that instant I fall in love with.
I call that person and cry: `This life is blest!
for your sake such miles have I traversed!'
All those others who came close and moved off
in the darkness - I don't know if they exist or not.

The movie clearly deals with the behaviour of parents with kids and also how the right brain can be more effectivean the left brain. This movie also promotes art in secondary education.

Art education in schools

Public Art
The art work pictured above is called "Bent of Mind" by British artist Tony Cragg in Nangang Software Park,Taiwan.I believe that public art is the most sensitive as it can be viewed by everyone .Therefore easily can be critisized or embraced. This work of art tries to imply about human mind. The term public art properly refers to works of art in any media that has been planned and executed with the specific intention of being sited or staged in the physical public domain, usually outside and accessible to all. The term is especially significant within the art world, amongst curators, commissioning bodies and practitioners of public art, to whom it signifies a particular working practice, often with implications of site specificity, community involvement and collaboration. The term is sometimes also applied to include any art which is exhibited in a public space including publicly accessible buildings.
